Lavelle is the place to be on a summer night with your
special someone or a group of friends. Upscale ambiance with a
contemporary flare.
From the moment I was taken up the elevator by a friendly
attendant and escorted to my table I knew I came to the right place!
The feel-good vibes were instant as I soaked it all in and admired
the action all around this awesome rooftop patio with tables surrounding 2 lit
up pools, cabanas with white curtains for a nice party atmosphere.
Time to Eat!!! Lavelle offers, cold, hot, large plates, tapa
style shareables to enjoy for a table of 2 or more. Mega light up bar
caught my eye that serves great sangrias with fresh fruit, this place is
electric.
Being an oyster lover, this appetizer was a must and wasn’t
disappointed, along with mouth watering short rib tacos and ever so tender
Wagyu Mac Sliders, yum yum!
Another round of those vodka, rose wine fresh lemon sangrias
please…feeling the vibes now, chill music and sunset coming in with a summer
night breeze…don’t want to leave this place!
Can’t stop now… more good eats to try and back to the menu
for some decisions! Let’s go with the sweet potato tempura, spicy dynamite
shrimp and chicken karaage. Not bad and a bit too fiery on
the palate to fully enjoy the flavours.
You know you are in a good place when the staff listen to
your feedback and make up for it with their Litty Cotton Candy black sesame and
vanilla ice cream, torch it up and enjoy the entertainment!
Hard to leave this place… but before I go, I need to get me
some nice shots by the lit-up pools, flashy bar with pink accents and our
iconic CN Tower.

There is nothing better than a summer night on a rooftop patio! The weather on this night didn’t disappoint, a table with gorgeous view of the sunset as it dropped over Toronto lighting up the sky in a brilliant orange.
Lavelle on
King was the perfect setting with good music, a good-looking and dressed to
impress crowd made for a great backdrop to chill with all the beautiful décor
poolside.
With
Lavelle’s own Sangria in hand, made with Elderflower Liqueur, we ordered up a
batch of wonderful tapas from their hot and cold small plates. 6 Oysters, 4
Wagyu Sliders and 3 Short Ribbed Tacos all hit the spot and were exceptionally
tasty.
We should
have stopped there, but since we were looking for this as dinner, we ordered
another round of tapas, Sweet Potato Tempura, Chicken Karaage, and Spicy Dynamite
Shrimp. Unfortunately, this batch was a complete miss. All three we’re spicy,
and quite frankly all tasted the same like they had come out of the same oil,
quite a disappointment.
Our service
was good, and our waitress tried to make amends for the poor 2nd
round sending over a free dessert a Litty Cotton Candy – Black Sesame
and Vanilla Bean ice cream topped
with a Cotton Candy which is torched off at the table making for a nice piece
of entertainment. Very sweet but tasty.
The staff
was super friendly helping us get a bunch of terrific photos amongst the
amazing views. It felt a little uneasy as Covid rules are still in place so you
are not supposed to move around from your table without a mask. This ultimately
also ended our night there, because of the 2-hour limit otherwise we would have
curled up at the bar facing the CN Tower and Skyline for a few more drinks.
Lavelle is a tough summer spot to get into on Saturday night, reservations must be made weeks in advance, so this was a treat and a great escape. We will be back, Covid be-gone will surely make for a great place to dance, mingle and enjoy a lively atmosphere under the stars of a warm summer night.
